Mondra, a Scope 3 SaaS company catering to the retail sector, and inoqo, a European sustainability intelligence platform, have announced a strategic merger. The two companies will form a single global organisation focused on advancing decarbonisation and resilience in the food supply chain.

The move is designed to strengthen the combined firm's operational reach across mainland Europe while supporting a diverse international customer base. Target clients include grocery retailers, manufacturers, and consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands who are under increasing pressure to demonstrate environmental responsibility and transparency.

Key to the merger is the integration of inoqo’s market expertise and environmental impact data with Mondra’s technological capabilities. By combining these strengths, the new organisation aims to improve product-level impact assessment, supplier engagement, and climate-related initiatives within retail operations.

The merged business will operate under the Mondra brand, maintaining teams in London, Vienna, and India. Efforts will be concentrated on unifying product development and data systems, resulting in a single, AI-powered platform. This platform is intended to provide greater transparency around environmental impacts and support net-zero emissions objectives for its clients.

AI-driven product intelligence, in this context, refers to using machine learning algorithms and advanced data analytics to automate the assessment and reporting of environmental metrics—processes that are vital for organisations seeking to meet sustainability targets.

Jason Barrett, CEO of Mondra, stated that the merger reinforces the company's mission to enable measurable sustainability results across the food system. He emphasised that combining technology and specialised impact data will empower customers to make more informed, data-driven decisions.

As part of the deal, Markus Linder, founder and CEO of inoqo, will join the Mondra leadership team, where he will focus on driving international growth and strategic development.

The merged organisation positions itself to become a key partner to the food sector in meeting both regulatory and consumer demands for sustainability, particularly within the European market, where environmental regulations are rapidly evolving.
