Picsart, a prominent digital creation platform, has launched an AI agent marketplace designed to automate creative workflows for its users. The new offering allows content creators to hire specialized AI agents—software tools capable of executing tasks independently—for processes such as resizing images, remixing photos, and editing product visuals.

This release coincides with growing industry interest in agentic AI systems, which are autonomous artificial intelligence programs that handle multi-step processes with limited user intervention. Recent viral initiatives, such as OpenClaw, have raised the profile of AI agents functioning not only as chatbots but as effective personal assistants.

Picsart’s new platform debuts with four dedicated agents: Flair, Resize Pro, Remix, and Swap. Flair connects with e-commerce platform Shopify, using AI to analyze market trends and suggest improvements to product photos. Planned updates to Flair include A/B testing features and identification of underperforming products to further support online retailers. Resize Pro leverages generative AI—a technology that creates new content or adapts existing media—to seamlessly extend the borders of photos and videos, helping users adapt visuals for various digital platform formats without visible distortion.

The Remix agent empowers bulk transformations, such as applying themed styles or changing backgrounds according to aesthetic prompts, including options like “vintage film” or “watercolor.” Swap, as described by Picsart, is designed for streamlined, context-specific alterations within images.

To improve accessibility, Picsart agents can be operated through popular messaging platforms such as WhatsApp and Telegram. In response to industry concerns about AI safety, Picsart has implemented configurable autonomy controls. These settings allow users to determine how independently the agents can act, with options requiring user approval before any changes are applied. Such safeguards are intended to reduce the risk of unintended outputs and potential prompt injection attacks (a method of exploiting AI behavior through cleverly crafted user input).

Access to the agent marketplace is linked to Picsart’s paid subscription plan, which starts at roughly $10 per month for annual billing. With more than 130 million users globally—many from Generation Z—Picsart is positioning itself as a competitor in the fast-evolving market for creator-focused AI tools.

Picsart’s founder and CEO, Hovhannes Avoyan, commented that traditional creative tools place the burden of execution on the user. "Our Agents change that relationship — you set direction, the agent builds a plan using real data, you approve, it executes," Avoyan said in a statement accompanying the launch.

The introduction of autonomous AI agents is part of a broader trend reshaping creative industries, as companies invest in advanced technologies to boost productivity and lower barriers for digital content production.
