Maguar Acquires Stake in GlobalSuite to Advance Compliance Tech
Maguar, a German investor focused on B2B software firms, has acquired a significant stake in GlobalSuite Solutions, expanding its reach into the Spanish compliance technology market. The investment aims to accelerate GlobalSuite's development in AI-driven automation and foster international growth. Both companies plan to prioritise innovation, strategic expansion, and strengthened commercial organisation.
German technology investor Maguar has acquired a significant stake in GlobalSuite Solutions, marking its entry into the Spanish market with a focus on expanding digital solutions for governance, risk, and compliance (GRC).
Founded in 2007, GlobalSuite Solutions operates across Iberia and Latin America and employs over 100 professionals. The company provides software platforms for more than 2,000 customers in heavily regulated sectors such as banking, insurance, healthcare, and telecommunications. Its offerings help organisations streamline risk management, regulatory compliance, business continuity, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives.
As European and global companies increasingly turn to technology for compliance and risk management, integrated platforms powered by automation and artificial intelligence (AI) are replacing manual processes. These systems offer real-time monitoring and improved decision-making capabilities, crucial for businesses facing complex regulatory demands.
Maguar’s investment reflects a broader trend in digital transformation, particularly in compliance and risk tech. The firm plans to bolster GlobalSuite Solutions by enhancing its commercial operations, expanding its partner network, and accelerating product innovation in automation, integration, AI, and user experience. The partnership also includes ambitions for growth in new international markets and selective acquisitions to complement organic development.
Arno Poschik, Founding Partner at Maguar, commented: “With this investment, we seek to support the continued development of [GlobalSuite’s] technology and accelerate its expansion to continue generating value for its customers.”
Antonio Quevedo Muñoz, founder and CEO of GlobalSuite Solutions, will continue to lead the company, maintaining a significant share alongside his team. Jaime Girón de Velasco will join as Managing Director. Quevedo highlighted the importance of Maguar’s experience and long-term vision in scaling B2B software companies for this new phase of GlobalSuite’s growth.
This deal underscores heightened interest in compliance technology investments amid evolving regulatory landscapes and the growing necessity for AI-enhanced business operations in Europe and beyond.
