Eunice, a London-based provider of due diligence infrastructure for regulated markets, has raised $8 million in a combined seed and pre-seed round. The investment was led by Moonfire Ventures and Speedinvest, with participation from Openspace Ventures and several industry founders.

Eunice is developing institutional-grade technology designed to standardise the evaluation, documentation, and defense of complex investment decisions. This comes amid growth in alternative assets and heightened regulatory scrutiny.

The firm's initial focus was on digital assets, where structured and audit-ready processes have been in demand. Eunice deployed artificial intelligence (AI) agents to deliver detailed asset-level assessments and contributed to creating disclosure templates in the UK's Financial Conduct Authority Regulatory Sandbox. AI agents are software systems capable of making decisions or analyses independently, often using machine learning techniques.

Building on this foundation, Eunice is expanding its technology across a wider range of alternative asset classes. Institutional investors—including pension funds, endowments, and funds of funds—now face mounting expectations for robust governance, transparency, and decision-making documentation. Although these requirements are increasing, due diligence processes frequently remain manual and fragmented, making it difficult for teams to both evaluate complex investments and clearly demonstrate their decision rationale.

"When decision-making in alternative assets is opaque, risk doesn’t disappear—it becomes invisible until it surfaces. We’re building infrastructure that enables institutions to show not only what decisions were made, but how they were reached, in a structured and transparent way," said Yi Luo, founder and CEO of Eunice.

Eunice’s platform aims to replace disjointed workflows with standardised, auditable frameworks that incorporate human oversight. The goal is to enhance transparency and defensibility in institutional decision-making, while maintaining the role of professional judgment. As private markets and digital assets mature, investors and regulators are seeking more consistent and accountable due diligence processes.

The company plans to use the newly raised capital to further develop its AI capabilities, expand solutions across a broader set of private markets, and grow its commercial team.
