Imec Unveils 3D CCD Memory Design for AI Hardware
Belgian research institute imec has introduced a three-dimensional charge-coupled device (CCD) hybrid memory architecture, aimed at overcoming limitations in current AI computing hardware. The innovation promises improved memory bandwidth and efficiency for AI workloads by combining features of DRAM and NAND technologies.
