Niantic Spatial is leveraging billions of images collected from Pokémon Go players to develop a visual positioning system that offers centimeter-level precision for robot navigation. In partnership with Coco Robotics, this technology addresses challenges posed by unreliable GPS signals in dense urban environments, improving the performance of last-mile delivery robots in the US and Europe.
